1. About PingPet

PingPet is a pet care documentation platform operated by Lydia Böhi, Zürich, Switzerland ("we", "us", "PingPet"). PingPet enables pet owners ("Owners") to share care instructions with pet sitters ("Sitters") and receive structured updates about care actions taken.

2. What PingPet Does and Does Not Do

PingPet provides:

• Structured pet care profiles
• A one-tap care action logging system
• A chronological care timeline
• A status indicator based on logged actions

PingPet does not:

• Provide, arrange, or guarantee pet care services
• Employ, vet, certify, or recommend sitters
• Monitor, track, or surveil users
• Verify the accuracy of information entered by users
• Guarantee the health, safety, or wellbeing of any pet

3. User Responsibilities

All users:

• Provide accurate information
• Keep login credentials secure
• Use PingPet in compliance with applicable laws

Owners are responsible for:

• Providing accurate and complete care instructions
• Selecting and vetting their own sitters independently
• Ensuring their pet's care needs are met, regardless of what is logged
• Revoking sitter access when a care relationship ends

Sitters are responsible for:

• Providing proper care to pets in their charge
• Logging care actions accurately and honestly
• Following the owner's care instructions
• Not sharing access to pet data with unauthorized third parties

4. Platform Neutrality and Disputes

PingPet does not arbitrate, mediate, or resolve disputes between users. The care timeline exists as a factual record of actions that were explicitly logged. PingPet does not verify whether logged actions were actually performed.

If a dispute arises:

• Both parties may refer to the care timeline as a shared record
• PingPet will provide data access as permitted by each user's role
• PingPet will not provide one party's data to the other beyond normal app access
• PingPet will not make determinations about fault, negligence, or quality of care
• PingPet will comply with lawful requests from Swiss authorities

Users who have disputes should resolve them directly or seek appropriate legal counsel.

5. Limitation of Liability

PingPet is not liable for:

• Injuries to, illness of, or death of any pet
• Any actions or omissions by Owners or Sitters
• Financial losses arising from disputes between users
• Inaccurate, incomplete, or false information entered by users
• Service interruptions, data loss, or technical failures
• Decisions made by users based on information displayed in PingPet
• Unauthorized access due to the user's failure to secure credentials

PingPet's total aggregate liability for any claims shall not exceed CHF 100 (one hundred Swiss francs).

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under Swiss law, including liability for intentional misconduct or gross negligence.

6. Fraud and Misuse

Users must not:

• Create false or misleading log entries
• Use PingPet to misrepresent care that was or was not provided
• Share, sell, or transfer their account to another person
• Attempt to access data belonging to other users
• Use PingPet for any purpose other than pet care coordination

PingPet reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

7. Intellectual Property

PingPet, the PingPet logo, and associated branding are the property of Lydia Böhi. Users retain ownership of all content they create within PingPet (notes, photos, care instructions).

8. Account Termination

Users may delete their account at any time through app settings. Upon deletion:

• Owner accounts: All pets, logs, assignments, and associated data are permanently deleted within 72 hours
• Sitter accounts: User record is removed, care logs are anonymized (care record preserved for the owner)

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified through the app. Continued use constitutes acceptance of updated terms.
